MISSION

Longboat Key News will be dedicated to creating a fair, accurate and editorially-balanced publication. The entire operation of the company will focus on the needs of Longboat Key residents as readers and area advertisers desirous of Longboat Key's affluent market. The paper will strive each day to be meticulous in design, intelligent in composition and exciting in content. Expectations must be exceeded on every level from the first sale of the day to the moment the last paper is distributed.

EDITORIAL CONTENT

Longboat Key News will be a community weekly, published every Friday, with its editorial content focused on Longboat Key and the neighboring areas of St. Armands Key, Bird Key and Lido Key. In addition to covering all aspects of Longboat Key Town government, several market segments will be part of the editorial lineup. The paper will regularly publish Longboat business profiles of island entrepreneurs, reviews of island restaurants and interviews with Key players. The paper will track and report Longboat's vibrant real estate market. Aside from business, the lives and activities of residents will fill the pages both pictorially and editorially. A lively debate of issues and letters to the editor are anticipated on weekly editorial pages.

DISTRIBUTION

The delivery staff will distribute between 13,000 and 24,000 papers every Friday, with the highest circulation during the busy season from December through April. The minimum weekly distribution will be 15,000 papers. Distribution will be accomplished through bulk delivery to 135 news racks from Anna Maria Island to downtown Bradenton and south to Sarasota County. The paper will be delivered to every available condominium, hotel and business on Longboat Key and Lido Key, as well as to single-family homes on Longboat Key, Bird Key, Lido Key and St. Armands wherever permitted by property owners.
