50TH ANNUAL SANDY CLAWS BEACH RUN

Runners traverse the white quartz sands of Siesta Beach in this longstanding athletic tradition supported by the Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce. Now in its fiftieth year, the race includes both a competitive 5K and a one-mile fun run, drawing a mix of serious local athletes and casual walkers. The morning features a holiday-themed costume contest with judging categories ranging from vintage race shirts to the best group outfits. Following the race, participants gather for live music, food, and custom awards for the top finishers in each age bracket.
