AA meeting

Providing a dependable anchor for recovery, the Longboat Island Chapel hosts this recurring Alcoholics Anonymous session in its community rooms on the Key. The volunteer-directed meeting adheres to the foundational twelve-step program, offering a secure, anonymous space where individuals battling addiction can speak candidly about their challenges and triumphs. Without relying on clinical intervention, the group draws its strength from mutual understanding, shared personal histories, and rigorous honesty among peers. The weekly gathering ensures that those living on or visiting the barrier islands maintain uninterrupted access to the essential fellowship and structured support necessary to sustain long-term sobriety.
