August: Orange County

Tracy Letts’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama August: Osage County unfolds inside an Oklahoma farmhouse, where the patriarch's disappearance forces the Weston family to confront their matriarch's pill addiction and decades of buried resentments. The Venice Theatre mounts this sprawling, darkly comedic play, which navigates complex sibling rivalries and generational trauma. The production captures the friction of a fractured Midwestern family trapped together during a sweltering summer.
