ex•plore: Nature at Night —Sleeping Turtles Preserve North

A Sarasota County environmental specialist guides a nocturnal walk through Sleeping Turtles Preserve North to observe the woods after dark. This ex•plore outing shifts the focus from visual scenery to the sounds and movements of the preserve's night-active wildlife. Participants learn to identify the calls of insects, amphibians, and nocturnal birds while navigating the trails with minimal light. The guided hike provides a secure, educational way to experience the shifting ecology of the Florida scrub and wetlands once the sun goes down and a different set of animals emerges.
