Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Certified Professional (FFLCP) Field Module

Landscape professionals complete the hands-on portion of their certification through this field module hosted by the UF/IFAS Extension Sarasota County. Held at the Twin Lakes Park demonstration gardens, the training translates classroom theory into practical horticulture. Instructors guide participants through site analysis, proper plant selection, and sustainable irrigation techniques tailored to the Gulf Coast’s challenging soil and climate conditions. The session ensures commercial landscapers know how to design and maintain green spaces that reduce fertilizer runoff and water consumption while meeting aesthetic standards.
