Frank Torchio’s Bobby Darin – That’s All

Vocalist Frank Torchio brings his retrospective tribute to singer and songwriter Bobby Darin to the cabaret stage at Florida Studio Theatre. Rather than relying on simple impersonation, Torchio traces Darin’s restless navigation across musical genres, moving from early Brill Building pop hits like "Splish Splash" into the big-band swing of "Mack the Knife" and the folk arrangements that marked Darin’s late-career reinvention. Backed by a live rhythm section, the performance leans heavily on the brassy arrangements of the 1960 That's All sessions at Capitol Records, offering context on Darin's ambition to rival Sinatra while battling the chronic heart disease that defined his urgency as a performer.
