In the Mix

Shake up your ideas about chamber music with a program that combines familiar instruments in unexpected ways.  Arnold Bax’s Quintet for Harp and Strings brings lush Romanticism, while Florence Price’;s Octet for Brass and Piano reveals the lyrical richness of brass. GRAMMY®-nominated composer Andy Akiho’;s LIgNEouS pairs marimba and string quartet. Gounod’;s delightful Petite symphonie concludes the program with timeless elegance.
