Joe Landry's adaptation turns the story of George Bailey and the guardian angel Clarence into a 1940s radio broadcast, with the audience cast as the live studio crowd. Five actors voice dozens of characters in It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, directed by Sarasota's Scott Keys, and the script is a stage play with music rather than a film screening. Asolo Repertory Theatre presents it in the 161-seat Jane B. Cook Theatre at the FSU Center for the Performing Arts, one of three shows in the company's new Second Stage series of big stories in a small house.
