Jazz at Two presents Michael Ross and Trio

The Unitarian Universalist of Sarasota hosts an afternoon set from the Michael Ross Trio, arranged by the Jazz Club of Sarasota. As an experienced bassist and bandleader, Ross constructs a setlist that moves between established jazz standards and his own original material. The ensemble focuses on tight, acoustic interplay and straight-ahead swing, taking advantage of the quiet room to highlight the nuanced dynamics and rhythmic communication between the three instrumentalists.
