Main Street Market Lakewood Ranch

A once-a-month shopping street rather than a weekly farmers market, Main Street Market lines Lakewood Main Street with more than 70 booths from makers, artisans and small retailers drawn mostly from Sarasota, Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch. Niki Dalsing and Lindsay Wood started it in 2020 as a one-off to pull shoppers back to struggling storefronts during the pandemic, and the vendor list has grown from two dozen to the current roster. Their rule for admission is that a business be locally owned and either make its goods by hand or source them locally, so the tables lean toward candles, baked goods, jewelry, clothing and gifts rather than resale. Live music has been a fixture from the start.
