Mote A-Scare-ium

The exhibits at Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium take on a seasonal overlay for this marine-themed Halloween gathering. Designed for young children and their families, the daytime event weaves trick-or-treating stations throughout the facility's indoor galleries and outdoor marine mammal habitats. Aquarium staff provide educational stops along the route, explaining the "spooky" biology of deep-sea creatures, the anatomy of resident sharks, and the nocturnal habits of local fish. The programming merges standard holiday activities with marine science, allowing children to collect candy in costume while observing the facility's aquatic life and learning about ocean conservation.
