ParticiPaint with Artist Marcus Blake

In the lobby studio of the Art Ovation Hotel, Miami-based visual artist Marcus Blake leads a collaborative painting session. Blake is recognized for a signature technique he calls "Tapenology," which relies on masking tape and bright acrylics to construct intricate, intersecting geometric patterns. During this interactive session, he sets up a canvas and invites attendees to help tape off sections and apply paint, gradually revealing the final composition as the tape is peeled away. The open format allows guests to drop in, observe the process of hard-edge abstraction, and contribute directly to the physical piece under Blake's direction.
