Primetime

Robert Pattinson portrays television journalist Chris Hansen in Primetime, a dramatic thriller directed by Lance Oppenheim. Based on the true story behind the 2006 reality show To Catch a Predator, the film tracks Hansen and his producer Lynn Keller (Merritt Wever) as they orchestrate sting operations to expose adults targeting minors online. Operating as both a media satire and a horror film, the narrative focuses on the moral compromises the crew makes to maintain their primetime television slot, exploring the dark intersection of true crime, vigilante justice and ratings-driven entertainment.
