QT Self Defense Class

A self-defense class built for LGBTQ+ participants, held at the 925 Maddox Gallery & LGBTQ+ Center that the Fabulous Arts Foundation runs on North Lime Avenue. The sessions are facilitated by an instructor known as Drew and are framed as ego-free: equal attention goes to physical techniques and to mental preparedness and situational awareness, taught without the macho posture of a typical martial-arts gym. No experience is needed, and participants are told to wear whatever they can move in and bring water. The class carries a suggested donation on a pay-what-you-can basis, and the center is collecting non-perishable food for its community pantry at the door.
