Resident Evil

Zach Cregger, the director behind Barbarian, helms a new cinematic adaptation of the survival horror video game franchise Resident Evil. Austin Abrams stars as Bryan Hodukavich, a medical courier stranded in a snowy, mountainous Raccoon City during a sudden viral outbreak. After taking shelter in a besieged hospital overrun by mutated patients and staff, Bryan must navigate the corridors and sewers to deliver a package while avoiding a massive, amalgamate monster. Filmed for IMAX screens, the action-heavy reboot leans heavily into body horror and claustrophobic tension.
