Sailing: Yacht Rock and Beyond

The breezy, highly polished soft-rock hits of the late 1970s and early 1980s take center stage in this musical revue. Developed by Florida Studio Theatre, the production features a tight ensemble of vocalists and instrumentalists tackling the smooth harmonies and intricate studio arrangements that defined the era's radio dominance. Staged in the John C. Court Cabaret, the setlist navigates through essential tracks like "Margaritaville," "Brandy," and "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)." The performance relies on the precise replication of iconic basslines and saxophone solos, creating a nostalgic soundtrack dedicated entirely to romance, escapism, and endless summer nights.
