Scramble for SPARCC

Local philanthropists and golf enthusiasts take to the manicured fairways of Laurel Oak Country Club for a charity scramble supporting the Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center (SPARCC). The tournament format pairs foursomes in a low-stress, collaborative round where players select the best drive and hit their subsequent shots from that optimal position. Beyond the eighteen holes, the afternoon includes on-course contests, networking, and an awards reception. The outing serves as a crucial fundraising mechanism for the nonprofit, generating capital to sustain free, confidential services and shelter for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in the region.
