Taste of Downtown Sarasota-Guided History & Food Walking Tour

Led by Sunset Food Tours, this guided walk through the city’s downtown district combines local history with restaurant samplings. A guide walks the group through several blocks, pointing out architectural landmarks and discussing the area’s cultural development. Along the route, the tour stops at three or four independent dining establishments, such as barbecue joints, farm-to-table restaurants, and Italian cafes. At each stop, participants sit indoors in air conditioning for a small tasting plate before continuing the route. The outing concludes with a stop for gelato.
