The Art of Care: Conservation at The Ringling

This behind-the-scenes exhibition at The Ringling pulls back the curtain on the unseen work of museum preservation. Rather than focusing solely on finished masterpieces, the display highlights the tools, materials and analytical methods conservators use to stabilize and repair aging objects. By detailing the scientific and historical research required before any physical intervention occurs, the museum outlines the quiet, continuous effort required to maintain a permanent collection for future generations.
