The Unauthorized Hallmark(ish) Parody Musical

Touring the conventions of made-for-television holiday cinema, The Unauthorized Hallmark(ish) Parody Musical lampoons the tropes of small-town bakers, big-city executives, and predictably snowy romances. The production brings its satirical songs and self-aware script to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, dissecting the familiar narrative arcs of seasonal television. A small ensemble cast rotates through multiple archetypal roles, singing original numbers that poke fun at the rigid formulas of wintertime romantic comedies.
