Venice: Memory Care Café Group

Designed for individuals experiencing memory loss and their caregivers, this social gathering meets at the Frances T. Bourne Jacaranda Library. Facilitated under the auspices of the Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, the café model provides a relaxed, stigma-free environment where attendees can engage in casual conversation and structured activities. Rather than focusing strictly on medical management, the group emphasizes socialization, cognitive stimulation, and mutual support, helping families affected by dementia maintain community connections and discover moments of joy outside a clinical setting.
