2027 Hiss Award Lecture

Architecture Sarasota honors significant contributions to the built environment during the annual Philip Hiss Award Lecture. Named for the primary catalyst behind the mid-century Sarasota School of Architecture, the award recognizes contemporary designers, planners, or advocates who champion innovative, climate-responsive construction. The evening features a keynote presentation by the year's laureate, who details their own architectural philosophy and recent projects. The formal address provides local design professionals and preservationists an opportunity to hear directly from national leaders shaping the future of sustainable urban development and modernist ideals.
