AGAMI Friday Night Art Market and Paint Around

Canvases change hands every few minutes during the Paint Around, when three to five artists from the Artists' Guild of Anna Maria Island each add to one another's work until several finished paintings are ready to be raffled that evening. It is the centerpiece of the guild's monthly Night Market Walk in Holmes Beach, which also brings extended hours to the Island Shopping Center businesses around the gallery, refreshments at AGAMI and a reception for the month's featured artist. The cooperative, founded in 1989 by Genevieve Novicky Alban, shows its members' work year-round in that gallery on Marina Drive.
