Baltimore Orioles vs. Philadelphia Phillies

The Baltimore Orioles square off against the Philadelphia Phillies in a Grapefruit League exhibition at Ed Smith Stadium. This midday contest brings a heavy contingent of traveling Phillies fans to Sarasota, creating a lively, energetic atmosphere in the grandstands. Managers use these late-spring games to finalize their Opening Day rosters, meaning late-inning substitutions often feature minor leaguers battling for the final spots on the bench or in the bullpen. The modern amenities of the retro-styled ballpark ensure clear sightlines to the diamond as the teams fine-tune their pitching rotations and defensive shifts.
