Baltimore Orioles vs. Tampa Bay Rays

The Baltimore Orioles welcome the Tampa Bay Rays to Ed Smith Stadium for an intrastate Grapefruit League matchup. Because the Rays' home spring training facility sits just across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, this exhibition game frequently draws heavy attendance from both fan bases. The afternoon contest provides managers an opportunity to test shifting defensive alignments and evaluate bullpen depth before the regular season commences. The Sarasota ballpark offers an intimate, sunlit venue for spectators to watch highly touted American League prospects share the diamond with established division rivals.
