Cirque Musica

The traditional holiday concert receives an acrobatic overhaul as Cirque Musica Holiday Wonderland arrives at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. The touring production pairs a live symphony orchestra playing seasonal arrangements with a cast of international circus performers executing dangerous aerial stunts above the stage. As musicians work through recognizable carols, contortionists, jugglers, and high-wire artists perform synchronized routines specifically choreographed to the swells of the music. The event merges the auditory traditions of a winter pops concert with the visual intensity of contemporary circus arts, providing a high-stakes alternative to standard seasonal programming.
