Coastal Art Class

Participants turn their beachcombing discoveries into permanent visual displays during this hands-on session at the Bayfront Rec Center. Under the instruction of Angela Thierman, the Longboat Key Garden Club workshop focuses on painting gathered seashells and securely mounting them onto four-by-four wooden boards. The afternoon class provides all the necessary materials for the mixed-media project, along with light refreshments, allowing attendees to leave the room with a completely finished piece of custom coastal artwork.
