Holiday Floral Design

Attendees learn the mechanics of constructing professional-grade seasonal centerpieces during this hands-on workshop at the Bayfront Recreation Center on Longboat Key. A master floral designer demonstrates how to build structural grids, balance asymmetrical compositions, and seamlessly blend traditional winter greenery with vibrant tropical accents. Participants work directly with fresh-cut stems, pine branches, and specialized floral foam to build their own custom arrangements from scratch. The guided class moves beyond simple flower placement, offering concrete techniques on color theory, texture pairing, and proper hydration methods to ensure the botanical displays last throughout the holiday season.
