College Student Zine Workshop

Area undergraduates gather at The Ringling to explore the history and construction of self-published magazines. The hands-on session covers the DIY roots of zine culture—from punk music circulars to niche art journals—before instructing students in layout, collage, and reproduction techniques. Participants utilize provided paper goods, vintage magazines, and bindings to assemble, photocopy, and distribute their own lo-fi printed materials by the end of the morning.
