David Foster w/ Katharine McPhee

Sixteen-time Grammy-winning producer David Foster and Broadway vocalist Katharine McPhee share the stage at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall for an evening of conversational storytelling and massive pop ballads. Foster, situated at the grand piano, anchors the performance by playing through the extensive catalog of global hits he composed or produced for artists like Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Michael Bublé. McPhee handles the complex vocal heavy lifting, seamlessly pivoting between 1990s radio staples and classic theater repertoire. The cabaret-style concert strips away heavy orchestration, relying instead on the couple's informal banter and McPhee's formidable soprano to carry the architectural weight of Foster’s defining anthems.
