Demonstration Garden Tour: Twin Lakes Park

Master Gardener Volunteers lead this walking tour of the demonstration gardens at Twin Lakes Park, where UF/IFAS Extension Sarasota County has its offices and a landscape built for teaching Florida-friendly gardening. Garden leads Linda Collins and Cindi Nemitz have said the tours are aimed at newcomers who arrive from up north convinced that roses won't grow here, as well as at experienced gardeners looking for wildlife-friendly native plants and ways to cope with drought and coastal conditions. A greenhouse that opened at the Extension in late 2025 is meant for more tours and demonstration classes.
