Digger

Tom Cruise stars in a dual role in Digger, a satirical black comedy directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu. Set in a bleak, drone-patrolled future, the film follows Curtis, a renowned theater actor starring in a post-apocalyptic farce called Fossil Fools. Cruise plays both the actor and the ruthless titular character he portrays on stage, blurring the line between reality and the theatrical production. Featuring a supporting cast that includes Riz Ahmed, Sandra Hüller and John Goodman as the President of the United States, the massive production tackles environmental collapse and the consequences of unsustainable living.
