Happy Birthday Mozart

The Sarasota Orchestra celebrates the enduring legacy of the Austrian prodigy with "Happy Birthday Mozart," a specialized chamber concert at Holley Hall. The afternoon program surveys the composer's massive output, moving from his early, mathematically precise string quartets to the more complex, emotionally turbulent woodwind compositions of his final years. The performance highlights the severe technical demands placed on the individual musicians, who must execute rapid, exposed runs with absolute clarity. The event provides a focused, chronological exploration of Mozart’s evolving harmonic language within the intimate acoustics of a smaller venue.
