Keven Aland & Hot Club SRQ

The Jazz Club of Sarasota presents an afternoon of driving, acoustic swing courtesy of Keven Aland and Hot Club SRQ. Channeling the iconic 1930s European jazz pioneered by Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli, the trio features Aland on violin, Jon McLaughlin on guitar, and Glenn Stevenson on bass. Their string-heavy repertoire spans frenetic Gypsy jazz, romantic ballads, tango, and flamenco influences. The "Jazz at 2" concert invites listeners to enjoy a virtuosic, high-energy acoustic performance deeply rooted in the romantic traditions of Parisian jazz clubs.
