Scotty Wright Quartet

Returning to the Jazz at Two series with an all-new program, vocalist Scotty Wright fronts his quartet through blues, bossa nova, ballads and straight-ahead swing, gliding from one groove to the next. A South Carolina native, he has sung for more than thirty years, with a smooth, supple tone and a playful, soulful manner. He has said that jazz will win back a wide audience only if listeners learn to listen again.
