Moonlight

Night is the organizing idea of this Sarasota Orchestra Great Escapes program, which sets Debussy's Clair de lune beside songs from Les Misérables and travels from the tenderness of Moon River to the spooky Ride of the Headless Horseman. Matthew Troy conducts, drawing on pop standards, Broadway anthems and classical pieces. Most performances run an hour without intermission; one runs longer and adds a break. The concerts are heard in Holley Hall at the Beatrice Friedman Symphony Center.
