Mote’s 4th Annual Reef Revival Fest 2026

Mote Marine Laboratory holds its fourth Reef Revival Fest far from its Sarasota campus, at the Islamorada Coral Nursery beside Bud N' Mary's Marina in the Florida Keys. The satellite nursery opened in 2021 and can hold up to 20,000 coral fragments destined for reefs such as Cheeca Rocks and Hens & Chickens; this free community evening opens it for tours. Hands-on micro-fragmentation workshops demonstrate how corals are cut into small pieces to speed their growth before replanting. Local musicians, food trucks, Florida Keys Brewing Company beer, a Kids' Zone of Junior Coral Scientist stations and a mechanical shark ride fill out the grounds.
