Mural In Motion

Choreography and visual art intersect inside the Sarasota Contemporary Dance studio for this multidisciplinary performance. Rather than using sets simply as backdrops, the company’s dancers physically interact with the thematic elements of massive murals. The movements echo the brushstrokes and structural geometry of the surrounding artwork, resulting in a collaborative piece where modern dance serves as a living extension of a painter’s static vision.
