NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet

In its 34th year, NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet bills itself as North America's largest touring Nutcracker, visiting more than eighty cities annually. An international cast dances to Tchaikovsky's score, with acrobatics and oversized puppets worked into the ballet and sets and costumes made by artisans in Europe. The "Dove of Peace" adagio is the number the company singles out. The Sarasota engagement takes place at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, on North Tamiami Trail.
