Open Mic Night

Katy’s Cat Cafe Writers, poets, and musicians gather to share their original material at Katy’s Cat Cafe, a relaxed Sarasota coffeehouse. During Open Mic Night, participants receive five minutes at the microphone to deliver spoken-word poetry, acoustic songs, journal entries, or short fiction. The recurring community session operates on a first-come sign-up basis at the door, providing an informal, supportive environment for local creatives to test new pieces before a live audience. The intimate cafe setting encourages a quiet listening room atmosphere, making it a reliable outlet for both seasoned performers and first-time readers looking to project their voice locally.
