Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Philadelphia Phillies

The Pittsburgh Pirates host their cross-state rivals, the Philadelphia Phillies, for an afternoon of Grapefruit League exhibition baseball at LECOM Park. Though the intrastate matchup holds no weight in the regular season standings, the contest frequently draws loud contingents from both Pennsylvania fan bases. The game allows the Pirates’ coaching staff to evaluate their bullpen arms in high-leverage situations against a potent National League lineup. The classic Bradenton ballpark, with its covered seating and close-knit dimensions, provides a picturesque setting for spectators to watch major leaguers polish their defensive mechanics in the late March sun.
