Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Tampa Bay Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays make the short drive south to challenge the Pittsburgh Pirates at LECOM Park in Bradenton. Because of the close proximity of the two training camps, this Grapefruit League exhibition allows the Rays to bring many of their everyday starters rather than a split-squad roster. The contest pits Tampa Bay’s famously analytical offensive approach against Pittsburgh’s developing pitching rotation. The historic, Spanish mission-style stadium offers fans a highly intimate vantage point to watch the tactical adjustments and situational hitting that managers prioritize as opening day rapidly approaches.
