Shucked (Touring)

When the corn that sustains Cob County begins to die just as Maizy and Beau are about to marry, someone must leave town to find answers. Shucked builds a musical comedy on that premise, with a book by Robert Horn and a country-pop score by Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally that includes "Woman of the World," "Somebody Will" and "Independently Owned." A con man complicates the search. This production is part of the musical's second North American tour, with direction credited to Steve Edlund, and it makes a two-night stop at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall.
