South Florida Men’s Basketball vs. Coppin State

Sonny Wilson, a Toledo transfer on the American's preseason all-conference first team, and fellow captain Mike James, a former four-star recruit who began at Louisville, front a largely new South Florida lineup against Coppin State. Wilson arrives with 1,338 career points and all-conference seasons in each of his three years with the Rockets. The visiting Eagles, from Baltimore and the MEAC, won seven games in 2025–26 and lost 100–50 in Tampa in their last meeting with the Bulls.
