Suncoast Cigar Box Festival

The Suncoast Cigar Box Festival celebrates the gritty, inventive tradition of handmade cigar box guitars throughout the colorful streets of the Village of the Arts. Musicians and craftsmen gather in the Bradenton live-work district to perform roots music, blues, and Americana on these homemade, improvised instruments. Beyond the live performances, the festival highlights the folk-art craftsmanship behind the guitars, echoing the neighborhood's own DIY artistic ethos. The outdoor setting allows attendees to wander between bungalow studios, craft vendors, and impromptu jam sessions.
