Temptations

The synchronized choreography and defining vocal harmonies of the classic Motown era arrive at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall with The Temptations. Led by founding member Otis Williams, the current iteration of the legendary R&B group performs the intricate, five-part vocal arrangements that drove massive 1960s and 70s hits like "My Girl" and "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone." The live set relies on a driving backing band to recreate the slick, highly produced funk and soul of the original recordings. The concert operates as a polished, high-energy historical revue, demonstrating the enduring architectural perfection of the Detroit label's signature sound.
