The Day the Circus Came to Town

Asolo Repertory Theatre mounts the world premiere of a musical that celebrates Sarasota’s rich history as a winter headquarters for the big top. Staged at the Mertz Theatre, the production incorporates a live circus band, actors, acrobats, and aerialists. The narrative functions as a love letter to the region's defining industry, blending traditional musical theater storytelling with actual circus arts.
