The Lost Leonardo

Investigating the murky world of high-stakes art dealing, the documentary The Lost Leonardo traces the improbable journey of the Salvator Mundi. After being purchased for barely a thousand dollars, the heavily restored portrait was authenticated as a lost work by Leonardo da Vinci and eventually auctioned for $450 million. The film unravels the financial interests, geopolitical maneuvering and institutional pressure that drove the painting's skyrocketing value, questioning whether the masterpiece is genuine or a product of the art market's sheer ambition.
