The Phil Collins Story

The sprawling catalog of the Genesis drummer turned solo pop megastar is recreated in The Phil Collins Story. Headlining the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, this touring tribute bypasses standard cover band aesthetics by utilizing a massive backing ensemble, including a full horn section and backup vocalists, to mimic the dense production of Collins’s 1980s and 1990s stadium tours. The front man replicates the distinctive gated-reverb drum sound and smooth vocal delivery that defined hits like "In the Air Tonight" and "Sussudio." The concert operates as a high-decibel historical survey, tracking the artist’s evolution from progressive rock percussionist to one of the defining commercial hitmakers of his era.
